How to use these papers
These are worked examples, not answers to memorise. A memorised answer rarely fits the question actually asked, and the point of reading one is to see how it was built.
Work through each paper in three steps.
- Read the question and write your own rough outline first. Ten minutes is enough. Decide your position and the three or four points that support it.
- Compare your outline with the solved answer. Look at how the argument is ordered, where evidence is used, and what the introduction commits to.
- Attempt the answer again in your own words, or rewrite your weakest section.
